Gatwick Airport North Terminal Lounges

There are currently 7 lounges at Gatwick North:

Plaza Premium Lounge Gatwick North Terminal

[PAID][PRIORITY PASS][DRAGONPASS][AMEX PLATINUM] – This is the former Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse (originally opened in 2017 at the North terminal) which was changed to a Plaza Premium lounge facility in late 2021. It is large and spacious, spanning 1,350m² in area and has capacity for 190 guests.

The light and airy lounge has a relaxed vibe and features floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of the airport. It also includes a marble bar, complimentary a la carte menu, funky seating and kids play area.

Access is granted to Priority Pass and DragonPass members, American Express Platinum card holders and paying customers (from £44 for 2 hours). Located past security, follow signs for Lounges – located near gates 45-55 and 101-103.

Plaza Express Gatwick North

[PAID] – The Plaza Express was opened in July 2024 and is also operated by Plaza Premium Group. The 670m² space uses the former Virgin Holidays v-room which is adjacent to the standard Plaza Premium Lounge at Gatwick North.

This is an affordable budget lounge aimed mainly at the leisure travel market. It includes cosy seating, free WiFi, a kids zone and a small food corner offering pizza and burgers. In terms of drinks you are restricted to beer and house wine.

Access can be purchased from just £18 (90 minutes including buffet + beer) or £25 (2 hours which also includes wine). Please note, there is NO access via Priority Pass, DragonPass or American Express.

No1 Lounge Gatwick North Terminal

[PAID][PRIORITY PASS][DRAGONPASS] – No1 Lounges was acquired by Collinson/Swissport in 2021.

The Gatwick North No1 lounge is reasonably large at 930m². It features comfy seating areas, a fully-tended island bar, hot/cold food menu, family room, newspapers/magazines, library and free WiFi.

It is located after security, turn left and follow signs for the “Airport Lounges” and pass through the glass double doors.

Guests pay from £34 for a 3 hour stay. Free entry (capacity permitting) for Priority Pass and DragonPass holders who can both pay £6 to pre-book and guarantee lounge entry.

Access is also granted to Icelandair, Qater Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, TUI and Westjet premium passengers. Open daily 0400-2100.

Clubrooms Gatwick North Terminal

[PAID][PRIORITY PASS][DRAGONPASS] – A premium lounge facility from No1 Lounges. Children under 12 are not permitted.

The lounge includes stylish seating (partitioned rooms with a members-club feel), table service menu, a wide range of drinks, free WiFi and a selection of newspapers/magazines.

Free access for Air China, Air Mauritius, Azerbaijan, China Eastern, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Saudia, Swiss and WestJet premium passengers.

Paid access from £38 valid from 3 hours prior to your flight departure – this includes Premium Security lane use.

Located below the No1 Lounge North. Open daily 0600-1800.

The Gateway by Easyjet & No1 Lounges at Gatwick North

[PAID][EASYJET FLEXI FARE][PRIORITY PASS][DRAGONPASS] – The former My Lounge at Gatwick North was rebranded in late 2021 as ‘The Gateway by Easyjet and No1 Lounges‘. This is the first branded lounge by budget airline Easyjet.

It has an informal, contemporary coffee-shop like ambiance with sofas, chairs and tables. It offers a self-service bar area, snacks, games room, newspapers/magazines, study area and free WiFi.

Paid access from £28 (3 hours), free for Priority Pass and DragonPass holders. Passengers flying on an Easyjet Flexi Fare also get complimentary access.

Located near the other lounges. Open daily 0400-2000.

Flight Lounge at Gatwick North

[PAID][DRAGONPASS] – This refurbished lounge opened in summer 2023 and is operated by the Flight Lounge Group. It occupies the 370m² space of the former Club Aspire Gatwick North which closed in 2021.

It aims to cater mainly for family groups and offers complimentary food and drink, free WiFi, a soft play area, an air hockey table, bar area and various seating zones.

Paid entry (max 3 hour stay) is from £36 for adults, £18 for children aged 2-11. Free access is available to DragonPass members.

Located past security, follow signs for Lounges. Open daily 0400-2000.

Emirates Lounge at Gatwick North

[EMIRATES PAID ECONOMY/PREMIUM] – The Gulf carrier has the largest airline lounge spanning 1,590m² at Gatwick North for its premium passengers which seats 255.

The spacious lounge includes a bar and buffet area, shower facilities and computer workstations. Access for first and business class Emirates passengers plus Emirates IO, Emirates Skywards Platinum/Gold members and Qantas Frequent Flyer Platinum One/Platinum/Gold flying on Emirates.

Paid access is possible for Emirates economy passengers – lounge entrance costs a hefty $125 (Skywards members), $155 (non-members) plus local taxes. At current exchange rates that is approximately £100 and £125 respectively.

Located past security, follow signs for Lounges. Open daily 0540-1335, 1625-2025.

Sensory Room (North Terminal)

Not a lounge per se but a safe and calming space designed for passengers with “with autism, dementia and cognitive impairment”. It includes a chill-out zone to relax and an interactive zone with light and sound stimuli. Entrance is free, reserve a 45 minute session by visiting the special assistance reception.

[PAID][PRIORITY PASS] – The Club Aspire Gatwick South lounge run by Collinson/Swissport Group opened in 2019. The compact lounge has 130 seats and includes a self-service buffet dining area, newspapers/magazines, workstations and views of the runway. There is a single shower room available.

Located past security on the upper level, follow the entrance between the WH Smith and Sunglasses Boutique stores.

No1 Lounge Gatwick South Terminal

[PAID][PRIORITY PASS][DRAGONPASS] – No1 Lounges was acquired by Collinson/Swissport in 2021.

This refurbished 525m² lounge seats 185 people and features elegant seating areas, fully tended island bar, bistro (one menu option is free), newspapers/magazines, library and study room.

It has great panoramic views of the runway and apron. Guests pay from £34 for a 3 hour stay, free entry (capacity permitting) for Priority Pass and DragonPass holders. Those cardholders can pay £6 to pre-book and guarantee lounge entry.

Access also to Aegean, airBaltic, China Southern, KM Malta Airlines, SKY Express, TAP Portugal, Tunis, Turkish Airlines, Turkmenistan and Vueling premium passengers.

It offers an informal, loft-style like ambiance. It includes a kitchen counter, self-service bar area, games room, free WiFi and the only outer terrace at Gatwick.

My Lounge Gatwick South is located past security on the upper level, take the signed passageway past the toilets.

British Airways Club Lounge at Gatwick South

[ONEWORLD] – BA opened its lounge complex at Gatwick South in 2017 with seating for up to 477 passengers.

The main British Airways Club Lounge is open to Club Europe/Club World (business class) and First passengers. Access is also possible to BA Premier, BA Executive Club Gold/Silver card holders and Oneworld Emerald/Sapphire members flying BA or Oneworld. Those with elite status can bring one guest.

The Club Lounge is accessed on the right hand of the main entrance. It has a split level (main floor + mezzanine) with the upper level usually quieter.

It includes designer furniture and fittings, buffet area, coffee/tea station, showers (5), business area, free WiFi and a small kids zone. Parts of the lounge have floor-to-ceiling windows offering decent apron and runway views.

We actually prefer the Gatwick Club lounge over the Galleries lounges at the busier Heathrow T5 where it can be difficult to find a vacant seat.

Located past security on the upper level, follow the signs to Lounges at the entrance next to JD Sports shop. Go right at the No1 Lounge and either take the stairs or lift to level 5.

Open 0500-2030 (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun), 0500-2100 (Tue/Thu/Sat).

British Airways First Lounge at Gatwick South

[ONEWORLD] – The British Airways First Lounge is a separate smaller area on the left side of the shared entrance and is available to First passengers, BA Premier, BA Executive Club Gold card holders and Oneworld Emerald members.

It has seating with runway views, bar/dining area with buffet and menu options and a business centre. Decor is similar to the Club lounge although being a First lounge the food and drink offering is of slightly higher quality. Note, showers are only available in the Club lounge.

Open 0500-2030 (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun), 0500-2100 (Tue/Thu/Sat).

Signature Elite Class – VIP Terminal

There is a small VIP private aviation terminal at London Gatwick close to the South terminal. It is run by Signature Flight Support, which has one of the world’s largest network of Fixed Base Operations (FBOs).

This is available to paying passengers (arriving or departing) on any airline who wish to bypass the main terminal.

The service includes check-in, security formalities, customs/immigration clearance and vehicle transfers to/from the aircraft. There are 3 small waiting lounges for passengers which have drinks, light snacks and newspapers/magazines.

Costs are not cheap at £660 for the lead passenger and £310 per additional passenger.

Which Gatwick Terminal?

Gatwick North Terminal – Airlines at North terminal include Air China, Air Mauritius, Air Transat, Delta, Emirates, Ethiopian, Icelandair, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Saudia and Westjet. Note, Easyjet and TUI operate flights from both North and South terminals. The North terminal is 98,000m² in size.

Gatwick South Terminal – All British Airways flights operate from the larger South terminal. Other airlines at South terminal include Aer Lingus, Aegean, Air Arabia, Air Baltic, Air Europa, Air India, Air Malta, Aurigny, China Eastern, Corendon, Croatia Airlines, Eastern Airways, Iberia Express, Jet2, Norse Atlantic, Norwegian, Ryanair, SmartWings, SunExpress, TAP Air Portugal, Turkish Airlines, Vueling and Wizz Air. Easyjet and TUI operate flights from both North and South terminals.

The South terminal has an area of 160,000m².
