San-J Tamari Different?

It all comes down to the ingredients used for brewing. Typical soy sauce uses a combination of wheat and soybeans — about a 50/50 balance — to produce its flavor. All of our Tamari Soy Sauce is made instead with 100% soy and no wheat, leaving more soy protein in for a richer, smoother flavor without a bitter aftertaste.

Tamari soy sauce is as versatile as typical soy sauce, if not more. Tamari’s flavor doesn’t flash off when heated making it ideal for stir frying, grilling, for adding a finishing touch to soups, sauces, gravies, and casseroles. Perfect as a dipping sauce for sushi and sashimi. It serves as a fantastic condiment as well as a marinade for infusing rich flavors for meat, seafood, and vegetables.
